Emily Shepard is currently supervising the Employment and Academic Appeals division at Downtown Legal Services. Prior to working at Downtown Legal Services, Emily spent eight years at the Human Rights Legal Support Centre (“HRLSC”), assisting Ontarians who experienced discrimination in the workplace, at school, in housing, and other settings. Emily has also worked at a boutique law firm specializing in disability law, where she assisted clients with wrongful dismissals, academic appeals, and human rights matters. Emily began her legal career as an articling student in the labour and employment department of a large firm.
